Calendar & Stuff

Planning Meeting: On Monday, July 16th at 7pm (or maybe the 17th if that works better), we are going to have a Cordova Towne planning meeting. We'll talk about the last two Walking Nights events as well as any other ideas for the Fall. So bring your creativity and ideas into the mix and we'll get some great things going for our neighborhood. I wonder what will evolve from this meeting and what types of things we can do as a neighborhood in the Fall to build community and become even stronger together. For now, we will meet on Croydon Way, but if someone else comes along and wants to open up your home, that would be great. Please note that if you cannot make this meeting but you have ideas, that you are welcome to share your thoughts (phone, email, in person...)

Calendar: By the way, if you have a yard sale coming up or are doing something that you would like to invite neighbors to, make sure it gets on the events calendar on our neighborhood website (click HERE to see). This is one more way to let others know of things that are happening.

Stickers: We have some Cordova Towne stickers that will make their debut on the second Walking Nights event on July 25th. Yee-ha. They are small (4.38 inches x 1.25 inches I believe) and so they'll be perfect for the fridge, books, rear window, a house window or door. They say "Cordova Towne Pride" as a title and then the subtitle says "Building a strong neighborhood together." Very simple and straight to the point.

Theft: A car was stolen off of Croydon Way the other day as well as some tools from a truck off of Portsmouth according to one neighbor. This has all taken place in the past week. I don't say this so we should be afraid because we never have to choose to be afraid (and I loathe how the media can too easily feed us the idea that we ought to be afraid). Let's just be prepared and be on the lookout for any suspicious behavior and be quick to contact the Police when need be. The bottom line is that we can look out for each other.
