Pride
Before this year, I had never been to the 4th of July parade in our City. I have never really been a fan of parades to say the least, but this year we decided to go and check things out. Wow, I was amazed at how cool it was. The floats were decent (especially the Mariachi one) and everyone seemed to be having a genuinely good time. The thing that was most impacting for me though was to sit down with fellow Cordovans and enjoy our city together. As we watched each float go by it felt as if we were part of a small town in the midst of the such a large region. I can't desribe it fully, but I will say that it made me even more proud to be in Rancho and of course in Cordova Towne.
It was also fun to sit down and do fireworks with neighbors later that night. In my mind, it is small moments like these that help build good relationships and dynamic community.

For the first time in seven years, we also experienced the 4th of July Parade down Coloma Road.
Later in the day, we also went over to Hagan Park and looked at the historical pictorial exhibit of Rancho Cordova. Very Cool!
The Budweiser team was my favorite. I have been going to this parade for many years and it get better every year.
