1000 Trees in Rancho

The City just put up a new link on its website HERE. Apparently there is a tree-planting campaign going on to plant 1000 additional trees. This is a great idea for any home in our area and of course our neighborhood. Because this emphasis is a partnership with SMUD and The Sacramento Tree Foundation, it is highly likely that the trees would need to be planted in an area that would promote shade. With the Tree Foundation though, they will give you up to 10 trees (we got 3 when we did this last year and they are good trees in 5-gallon buckets typically). So spread the word and let's plant for free if we are able to. This is an easy process too because an arbourist will come out to your house and consult you on the best locations for new trees and also the types of trees that are available for you.
