Brick Letters
Last night while riding my bike I talked with a neighbor from Portsmouth who was out tracing the letters on the North side of the brick wall which say "Cordova Towne" at the entrance to our neighborhood. He was doing this in order to make new wood letters for the South side which no longer has them due to a car accident two years ago. For whatever reason the insurance company who repaired the wall did not put the letters back up. Isn't that cool? What a great way to use his gifts for the neighborhood and what a hero for the neighborhood. He says of course that it will surely take some time to do this since he works full time and this is only on the side. And of course we'd have to get the okay from the proper authorities in the City to do such a thing. We shall see.
One other note on the wall, kudos to the home owner who recently re-painted the existing letters to help them stand out and also to the new landscaping he put in the planter box.
