Shopping Carts Abandoned

THIS link is a great resource from Code Enforcement to address any abandoned shopping carts in the neighborhood. Per the website:

"The City now has a new ordinance addressing abandoned shopping carts. The law requires stores to take a more active part in both retrieving their carts from public areas, and taking stronger measures to prevent the carts from being taken in the first place. It will take a little while for the new procedures to reach their maximum effectiveness, however, and in the meantime, we would like to ask for your help."

Most carts have the store name and phone number on them, but if only the store name, the link above has all of the local stores and phone numbers listed. As the link above states, it is the responsibility of the store to come and retrieve the cart. And we certainly do not want a neighborhood full of carts anyway. This does not appear to be a big issue, but in the past two weeks I have personally seen 3 abandoned carts, so it'll be important for all of us to stay on top of this.
